David and Roger trained together at the prestigious Eve Marie cordon bleu school of cookery nearly 30 years ago and both went their separate ways topping up their skills in the top restaurants of London and the South Coast before getting together again 25 years ago to set up the Continental Cafe in Bognor. Since those days the cafe has grown from a small two-man operation to a major tourist attraction in its own right with the staff of more than 30 dedicated people, many of whom have worked in a cafe for much of their adult lives.

Ever since those early days the continental cafe has been a gay friendly venue.
